Vibrance is energy. Lots of it; in a concerted space.
Defiance is energy. Lots of it; in spite of all the odds.
Zimbabwe Feminist Forum (re)builds the land, vibrantly, defiantly in a gathering of women
who came together to identify, envision, and inspire a nurturing, progressive and fair
atmosphere in the areas of nationhood,statehood, citizenship, entitlement, and social
responsibility.
Through interactive sessions, educative forums, poetry, song, dance, and group activities,
these 28 women laid the foundation for the first Zimbabwe Feminist Forum (ZFF) - Harare,
7 - 9 December, 2011.
The forum brought together "students, academics, non-profit development workers, mothers,
single women, sisters, wives, ranging from the ages of 19 - 60, and the purpose of the
convening was to plant the seeds for developing in the future, a Feminist Forum in Zimbabwe;
ZFF's goal being to create a space for vibrant feminist thinking and critical dialogue towards
movement building in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa." (“Feminists (Re)Building Zimbabwe:
